Marc Digeros
Marc Digeros uses thin slabs to construct handbuilt pottery. The slab walls wrap around slump-molded bases, creating soft forms influenced by industry and architecture. As he builds, he tries to leave clues as to how his pieces have been constructed, leaving seams and coincidental marks left by touching the clay. He enjoys the challenge that salt firing introduces in the firing process. Marc is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has an MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a BFA from the University of Minnesota. He presently lives in Los Angeles and works for the architect Frank Gehry. |
