Janna Noelle Gantt is fueled by an insatiable desire to create. Her goal is to elegantly capture in a tangible item a piece of history, a feeling, beauty. She aims to showcase the beautiful gifts of the earth; from the stones, to the color palates, and to allow each curve, angle, and facet to tell itís story. This is her way to leave an artistic mark on the world, to create pieces of jewelry that stand the test of time, and become treasured heirlooms. She hopes to challenge people to abandon machined adornment and appreciate the true beauty of craftsmanship and design.
The work begins with unlimited inspiration, some ancient as old Roman ironwork or mosaic, others more organic, like a pearlís story of the flowers on the beaches where it was formed. The stone then sits in the middle of a blank page as a sketch forms around it. The wire itself is made by her hands, twisted between blocks of wood as it has been done for centuries. Frames are created and these frames are filled with hand placed swirls so delicate they appear as lace.
"I love to construct things that blossom with a closer look and are inspiring in their meticulous details. I want each piece to maintain the character of its rich history."
