Jewelry designer Penny Larsen has been designing jewelry for twenty years, accumulating a rich array of techniques. Larsen uses sterling, fine silver, 14 and 22 karat and combines the ancient metal-working techniques of granulation and filigree with semi-precious stones and fresh water pearls. Each element is handcrafted, producing a truly unique look and feel.
Inspired by the beautiful and unusual ways people adorn themselves, the artist has traveled the bazaars of India, the markets of South-East Asia, the villages of the Himalayan Steppe and the alleys of central China. Larsen also draws from the past, particularly 19th and 20th century vintage jewelry and ancient techniques of the Celts, Romans, and Renaissance Europe.
