Lisa Piaskowy and Manny Krakowski met in Seattle in 2007. After years of working together, they started designing decorative glassware in 2012. Today, Studio Vesce is based in Los Angeles.
"Our name, Studio Vesce, is derived from effervesce, something that bubbles. It refers to the sparkle and vibrancy of glass that inspires creativity and innovation in our design. We chose the name Studio Vesce, because it describes the passion we have for working with hot glass and our enthusiasm for collaborating in the studio."
Lisa Piaskowy is from Chicago and learned to blow glass at Illinois State University. She refined her skills working in factories and art studios in Seattle before moving to Los Angeles. Her professional projects have taken her to studios all over the U.S. and to Murano, Italy.
Manny Krakowski is a Los Angeles native and began blowing glass at California State University Fullerton. He has worked in studios in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas, and he has made commissioned glass pieces for renowned artists. He has been invited to share his artistic practice at schools in the U.S. and in Australia.
